Sweet Carolina is a small, family-owned shop, 1950s-diner style, established in 2018, right in the middle of Aberdeen’s historic downtown, serving both hard and soft ice cream. It’s the kind of place where the owners are the ones behind the counter.
Pair it with a walk down Main Street. Aberdeen’s downtown is smaller and quieter than Southern Pines’, which is why most visitors skip it and why I’d tell you not to. This is the stop that turns “we went to Pinehurst” into “we found this little ice cream place in Aberdeen.”
